I would never have thought that an accident might become one of the luckiest events in my life. After many years of practicing gymnastics, pushing my body to strike perfect poses I was injured. While looking for a new, healthier way to move I was introduced to yoga. With yoga I realized that I could move in a way where I was nourishing my body rather than sacrificing it. I started listening to my body and paying attention to how poses felt inside rather than how they appeared outside. Now It has been nine years since I began my yoga practise. In this time I have studied the dynamic ashtanga, the dance inspired strala, the calm hatha yoga and the insightful vipassana meditation. Practising yoga gives me vitality, strength, flexibility and ease of body and mind. I love nothing more than to pass on all of these joys that yoga has to offer. In my teaching I focus on combining opposing elements like fluidity and steadiness or softness and strength. I teach vinyasa flows where strengthening poses are connected by fluid transitions that turns the practice into a continuous dance. Even though the flow is dynamic, the pace is kept slow enough to ensure the students can find healthy alignment. To conclude our energetic physical practice I will guide you into a ten minute mediation where we will find stillness together.
